Central Railway Min inspected Yeshwantpur station redevelopment and Suburb railway progress
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw inspected today the progress redevelopment of Yeshwantpur Railway Station, undertaken by the Central Government at a cost of Rs. 366 Crore.
Yeshwantpur is a crucial transport hub in Bengaluru that is undergoing a significant redevelopment aimed at transforming it into a world-class station.
Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw says, "We had a very detailed discussion and review of the Bengaluru suburban project in the morning today. Before that, I visited the Yesvantpur station redevelopment work. Very happy with the construction progress...It's very important that each and every aspect of Bengaluru's suburban project should be done with full emphasis, focus and sincerity."
Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya said, "PM Narendra Modi's vision to integrate such stations into multi-modal transport hubs will go a long way in addressing rapid urbanisation & population growth."
"The redevelopment is being carried out by keeping in mind the increased footfall in the coming decades & the integration of sub-urban rail. Once completed, it will also feature a roof plaza for recreational activities & showcasing local products."
